The team you'll be part of

The pandemic has highlighted how important telecoms networks are to society. Nokia's Network Infrastructure group is at the heart of a revolution to bring more and faster network capacity to people worldwide through our ambition, innovation, and technical expertise.

Our Fixed Networks (FN) business group provides an array of "gigabit to the home" solutions to deliver data access to our communication service provider (CSP) customers. This includes Fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) as well as 5G fixed wireless access (FWA),and xDSL. We build solutions that don't stop at the home but also bring that gigabit experience into the home using our meshed Wi-Fi solution.

The Customer Engineering team works with customer teams, business development, product management, and R&D to provide support and professional services to Fixed Networks customers in the Americas region. Customer Engineers develop and deliver professional services tpo integrate the full portfolio of Fixed Networks products into customer networks.

What you will learn and contribute to

Are you passionate about solving problems?
As part of our team, you will:

  • Set up and configure equipment across the Fixed Networks portfolio in the Nokia Raleigh lab
  • Perform validation of customer test plans and technology proof of concepts
  • Assist senior engineers with delivery of servies for Fixed Networks products
  • Develop automated scripts to speed repetitive tasks


Your skills and experience

You have:

  • Bachelor's Degree/College Diploma, within past year or future grad within 6 months in Computer/Software/Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • Proficient with Linux operating systems - CentOS - RHEL.
  • Ability to write scripts at a Unix/Linux level


It would be nice if you also had:

  • Knowledge of access technologies such as PON, DSL, Wi-Fi, 4G/5G mobile networks
  • Strong hands-on experience in troubleshooting software or network problems.
