Java Tech Lead
Currently, TIAA has an opportunity for a Java Technical Lead. This role will be responsible for providing solutions for technical issues which may impact product delivery. This role will design and deliver the team's code. In addition, will facilitate requirement analyses, conduct peer reviews and provide feedback, and enhance frame works.
The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of industry best practices, possess good organizational and leadership skills, and proficiency in Java technologies. In addition, this technical lead should possess good analytical skills, the ability to anticipate issues and frame remedial actions, and excellent teamwork skills. This position can be located in our Charlotte, NC or Iselin, NJ office.
Key Responsibilities and Duties

- Conduct configuration of your own work.
- Review the work of other developers and provide feedback.
- Use coding standards and best practices to ensure quality.

Required Skills:
- Minimum of 5 years of Java 8+ experience
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Spring Framework (SpringMVC, Spring Security, Spring Boot and Spring Batch, etc.)
- Experience with REST and SOAP service development
- Experience with Distributed source control systems such as Git
- Experience with Gradle or similar build automation tools
- Experience with jUnit and mocking frameworks experience
- Experience with JSON, XML, XSL, XSLT, XSD, JAXB
- Enterprise development experience with Automated Builds, Deployment, Testing.
- Experience working in a tech lead role leading teams of at least 3 people
- Experience giving product demonstrations to business partners as part of agile reviews
- Experience and comfort level presenting technical designs and product roadmaps to IT and business stakeholders
- Experience designing, developing, and maintaining large scale distributed systems
Potential Salary: $142,100.00 USD
Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
