Your Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop new functionality; work with the team on functional and non-functional requirements, technical analysis and design
- Coding and testing, reviewing other team members' changes
- Document business and functional requirements in user stories, design decisions and application programming interfaces (APIs)
- Partner with quality assurance (QA) team on test automation of new and existing functionality
- Contribute to the definition of the future state of the payments system architecture
- When product and architecture experience gained, mentor and direct more junior engineers
Your Skills and Experience:
- Relevant experience of core Java/Oracle, SQL and Linux and software design patterns
- Relevant experience in Agile & DevOps software engineering, designing, and implementing high availability solutions and implementing microservices
- Relevant experience of Spring, Swagger/OpenAPI, Maven ad modern SDLC tools - Git, JIRA, Artifactory, Jenkins/TeamCity
- Relevant knowledge in Gherkin/Cucumber and of monitoring e.g. AppDynamics/ Dynatrace/Prometheus/Grafana
- Good knowledge in behavior driven development (BDD) and test driven development (TDD)
