Job Description As a member of our Software Engineering Group we look first and foremost for people who are passionate around solving business problems through innovation & engineering practices. You will be required to apply your depth of knowledge and expertise to all aspects of the software development lifecycle, as well as partner continuously with your many stakeholders on a daily basis to stay focused on common goals. This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines.
  • Understanding of architecture and design across all systems.
  • Working proficiency in developmental toolsets.
  • Knowledge of industry wide technology trends and best practices.
  • Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals, and passionate about building an innovative culture.
  • Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages (Java).
  • Understanding of software skills such as business analysis, development, maintenance and software improvement.
  • Java development experience preferably using IntelliJ IDEA.
  • Working with microservices architecture with technologies such as Java, Angular, QPID, Oracle, Cassandra, REST APIs and Ansible.
  • Experience with Angular JS framework.
  • Experience with Restful web services. Experience developing Cloud applications is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Spring Boot 2.0 or above.
  • Understanding of XML and Json based messages and schema.
  • Experience with messaging systems is a plus.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipeline (bitbucket, GIT, Jenkins).
  • Relational Database development experience. Cassandra experience is a plus
  • Technical analysis & design of business solutions.
  • Excellent problem solving and communication skills.

About the Team The Cybersecurity & Technology Controls group at JPMorgan Chase aligns the firm's cybersecurity, access management, controls and resiliency teams. The group proactively and strategically partners with all lines of business and functions to enable them to design, adopt and integrate appropriate controls; deliver processes and solutions efficiently and consistently; and drive automation of controls.
