As a Workplace Systems Engineer at Atlassian, you will be working in a global team focussed on delivering an exceptional workplace experience for our staff. You will be exposed to multiple technology disciplines, including identity management, telephony, networking, virtualisation and 'everything as a service'. You will design, deliver and support innovative best of breed solutions for our rapidly growing company, while ensuring availability, consistency and scalability.

- The best person for this role is someone that has a collaborative spirit - in our world, it's not about being a hero and having all the answers, it's about sometimes saying "I don't know" and working on finding solutions rather than starting with an assumption. The team needs someone who can ask questions, learn from others and turn chaos into order.
On your first day, we will expect you to have:
- A passion for problem solving and an ability to find technical solutions to business problems
- Solid experience in hands-on infrastructure - preferably in a fast growing environment
- Experience managing a wide variety of platforms such as Active Directory, Linux, AWS, VMware and Cisco infrastructure.
- Should be proficient with LAN based services (DNS, DHCP, NTP and IP)
- Experience with identifying useful metrics, meeting benchmarks, and working with service level agreements (SLAs) with your team
- Extensive experience with automation and tooling (Python, Ansible, Bash, Git, PowerShell)
- AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification
- Demonstrated experience managing Brocade Virtual Traffic Managers (VTMs) or similar load-balancers
- ITIL v3 exposure/certification.

What you'll be working on
- Workplace Engineering have a broad range of responsibilities so there's plenty of options to pursue. Initially the main focus will be:
- Managing and maintaining Workplace Engineering's monitoring platform (LogicMonitor)
- Supporting and maintaining our identity platform (Active Directory, Idaptive)
- Reviewing and patching software and upgrading firmware on a weekly basis.
- Building, supporting and maintaining internal PKI services for Atlassian systems
- Continue to automate and move services to AWS
- Assist in building / relocating and expanding our global offices
