Job Summary

The internal teams at Pushpay have a high dependence on their information systems. Our continued growth and effectiveness as a team pivots around our reliance on our internal toolset. The Pushpay IT Systems Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all staff are given the best support possible so they can leverage the maximum outcomes that our toolsets can provide.

The Pushpay IT Systems Engineer is a focused, approachable, talented individual who takes pride in not only their technical execution, but also bridging the gap for the internal users so that every issue that frustrates their efficiency is quickly and efficiently dealt with in a respectful and pleasant manner.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day technical leadership to IT Support Analysts

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure
  • Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools
  • Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
  • Monitor and test application and SaaS performance
  • Assist in maintaining security, backup, and redundancy strategies
  • Build automation into the system around items such as patching, user creation, and back ups
  • Participate in the design of information and operational support systems
  • Ensure all IT systems are within PCI compliance in conjunction along with the Data Security team
  • Provide next level support on issues escalated from Support Analysts
  • Advanced technical troubleshooting, diagnosing and problem-solving skills
  • Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
  • Proficiency to act as a subject matter expert across Pushpay's core platforms (i.e. JAMF, Google Suite, BetterCloud, Cloudlock, Google Vault, Okta, Slack and Lastpass)
  • Represent Pushpay’s core values in the way that you approach every problem, in the way you communicate to staff and in the level of execution that you bring to every problem

Required Skills

  • Proven track record of strong customer service in an IT support role
  • Self starter with a strong work ethic and the ability to work with minimal supervision and alone when necessary
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Organization skills and ability to work on multiple projects and/or assignments simultaneously
  • Interpersonal skills with the ability to work with various levels of management and external vendors

Education and Experience

  • In-depth knowledge of Mac OS and Apple systems, IT operations, such as operating systems components, utilities, production schedulers and system environment hardware components (e.g., CPU, disk and tape technologies
  • In-depth knowledge of computer coding/programming languages and software development concepts
  • In-depth knowledge of data structures, data management practices, system interaction patterns and interfaces
  • Knowledge of various corporate security rules, legal and regulatory obligations such as PCI, SOX or similar standards
  • Knowledge of vendor software integration and interaction patterns
  • Analyzes data from various sources to determine next steps on critical issues
