WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

• Leading the management of all endpoints used by employees in the company to ensure robustness, scalability, availability and efficiency
• Creating and supporting processes for endpoint imaging, security and self-service
• Creating and maintaining processes for auditing, tracking and lifecycle management of all endpoints
• Developing UNIX shell scripts for system administration automation and self-service
• Creating and testing custom Apple packages for automated software installation
• Working with Security to ensure compliance with company certification goals
• Working with leadership to ensure endpoint management supports business strategies
• Researching, evaluating, developing and owning business relationships with third party vendors to ensure compliance and compatibility
• Diagnosing and troubleshooting OS X, Windows and Linux devices (laptops/desktops), peripherals, iOS/Android, and third party supported applications on a Tier 3 level
• Creating and documenting FAQs, Best Practices, and Troubleshooting guides for self-support
• Providing Help Desk rotational support
• Providing application system administration support
• Driving internal audit access reviews and maintaining supporting documentation for the internal audit function
• Other duties as assigned

YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

The management of the following on OS X, Windows and Linux:

• Designing, planning, and installing OS environments
• Designing and implementing policy management
• Managing software updates for the OS and supported applications
• building and deploying software packages and custom scripts
• Planning, coordinating, and executing OS X, Windows and Linux software rollouts and system upgrades/refreshes
• Testing, patching and deployment of security suite (Sophos Enterprise) for all OS X, Windows and Linux devices
• Managing the encryption process (testing, deployment, updates, reporting) for all OS X devices
• Developing audits and reporting processes for security compliance, licensing, metrics and budgeting

WHAT YOU BRING:

• Working knowledge of compliance implementation for OS X, Windows and Linux devices in enterprise environments, including 802.1x* Requires JAMF OS X Certification (CCA minimum, CJA/CMA preferred)
• Experience with SSO and group policy (Active Directory, Open Directory, etc.)
• Understanding of how to identify and instill industry best practices for BC, security, scaling and automation
• Familiarity with physical server architecture; VMs as well as LAN/WAN/Firewall/VPN network technologies
• Understanding of how endpoint management and security processes impact business operations
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and respond under pressure
• Proven ability to work both independently and as a part of a team
• Proven ability to translate technical issues into understandable business language for end users

PREFERRED:

Specific technical knowledge and experience in one or more of the following areas:

• SCCM or MGI
• PCI, HIPPA, SOX, FIPS
• Database experience (SQL, MySQL, etc.)
• Business continuity planning, disaster recovery planning
• Development, scripting, testing, automation, and VMs
• IT project management, documentation, planning and organizational skills
• Incident/Problem Management processes and tools, especially JIRA and Atlassian product experience
• MediaWiki markup language
