The IT Director - Sales & Marketing position will provide leadership, oversight, design and delivery of enterprise application solutions. This person will work closely with Project Managers, Business Analysts, IT Application Teams and other IT groups. Finally, the right candidate will provide leadership for application developers assigned to integration efforts involving geographically distributed Enterprise Applications and Data Integration platform.
Responsibilities include:

  • Architect, design and lead the development/improvement of enterprise application solutions
  • Defines and is accountable for application architecture required by the project.
  • Liaise with Architecture and Project committee to ensure system architecture complies to organizational design and security standard.
  • Socialize solution strategy across key project stakeholders, including shared IT services (infrastructure, middleware, reporting)
  • Monitors assigned development resources to ensure they design application in accordance with the required functionality in order to meet customer needs and expectations.
  • Assures that all new development is compliant with negotiated functional specifications, guidelines, design principles as well as global and application specific coding standards.
  • Ensures that development team members possess expertise in necessary tools and utilities based on the requirement of the project.
  • Provides solutions, effort estimates, resources, issue resolution, user support.
  • Ensures project deliverables transferred into sustaining operations support.
  • Serves as Subject Matter Expert to vendor meetings, proposals and system enhancements ensuring that any new technology meets the globally defined standards.
  • Monitor development activities to keep track and report development schedule.
  • Leads the planning, prioritization and completion of development lists, stories, tasks, related activities and associated deliverables, as applicable
  • Monitor development risks and mitigate to reduce schedule, cost and quality impact.
  • Manage 3rd party development, including defining the SOW and providing quality control.
  • Responsible and accountable for end to end Integration testing.
  • Ensure quality control measure is followed and defects are tracked for KPI reporting.



EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE :
BS in Computer Science/Engineering (or equivalent)
7 plus years of application development experience or MS in Computer Science/Engineering (or equivalent) with minimum 5 years of application development experience.
3 plus years of designing and developing enterprise application solutions.
3 plus years of working with SaaS and IaaS.
REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Demonstrate people skills
  • Ability to work with business partners
  • Ability to travel and work in geographically distributed team
  • Track record of managing a 'matrix' team
  • Proven experience working with remote teams and multiple stakeholders
  • Sound understanding of technology and programming languages.
  • Knowledge of SW architecture solutions.
  • Knowledge of ON Semiconductor standard development tools and procedures.
  • Knowledge of software security assurance; ensures a software design that protects data and resources
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear, concise manner to all audiences
  • Results driven; thrives in a development environment that is agile and collaborative, even when faced with ambiguity
  • Possess an automate everything mindset and care deeply about reliability
  • Distributed version control systems (Mercurial, Git)
