What you do:

Allianz Life is in need of an experienced Azure Developer (IT Developer Specialist) with an integration background to work on our Transformation Program that will establish ALIP (Accenture Life Insurance and Annuity Platform) on Microsoft's public cloud, Azure. The solution will also be integrating with numerous systems in our corporate data center.

A successful candidate will have background in:

  • Participate in all phases of solution delivery and the full lifecycle of software development including requirements gathering, analysis, design, data mapping, development, testing, transition and support. Delivery and review of all relevant solution and project artifacts.
  • Responsible for solutions designs that meet functional and non-functional requirements in consideration of data growth, downstream SLAs, and batch windows.
  • Collaborate with other team members and development teams to deliver enterprise solution on time and on budget
  • Accountable for oversight of vendor work and act as liaison to coordinate activities with vendors and other solutions teams.
  • Participate in peer design, design review and code reviews.
  • Collaborate with administrators to establish solution in the cloud using advance DevOps practices.
  • Develop and maintain solution documentation, configuration, standards and best practices related to technologies, tools, and implementation patterns.
  • Review of monthly consumption reports; establish and tune consumption automation.
  • Participates in root cause analysis, debugging, support, and post-mortem analysis incidents and service interruptions.
  • Participate in disaster recovery planning and exercises.
  • Must have strong technical consulting skills, analytical and problem solving skills to troubleshoot systems problems.
  • Must be resourceful, self-starter, maintain skill set; aptitude to evaluate / become proficient in new technologies, processes and skills, motivated learner.
  • Result oriented, "Let's do it right" and "Make it happen" attitude, seek win-win outcomes.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal skills and be able to communicate and work with all levels of an organization.
  • Team player that can collaborate with other teams and positively represent the ALIP and Azure capability team.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, ability to coordinate and facilitate technical meetings with multiple vendors and stakeholders.
  • Must be flexible, good organizational skills, good listener with attention to detail and have ability to multi-task.
  • Must be open to possible off-hour on-call support in high paced environment.
  • Preferred background in insurance and Finical Services.



What you bring:

  • Candidates must have at least 4+ years of integration experience in medium to large integrated enterprise environments using SQL Server, Oracle, ETL Tools for any or all of the following: database to database data movement, file extracts in the following formats - flat files, csv, xml, json, file transmission over SFTP. Must have experience with asynchronous messaging, API Management, consuming and creating APIs. Must have understanding of XML structure and related XML technologies, XSLT, XSD, Schema, XQuery, etc.
  • Candidates must have at least 1+ year of experience developing enterprise cloud solutions preferably using Azure and Azure PaaS services. Experience must include Data Factory, Function Apps, Logic Apps, KeyVault, Event Grid or AWS equivalent. Candidate must be driven and eager to pick up other technical capabilities where experience is not present.
  • Knowledge of Azure Databricks preferred.
  • Candidates must have advanced SQL skills create complex database objects, debug objects including complex join logic and proficiency with database objects including tables, views, stored procedures, indexes, etc.
  • Extensive experience on medium sized team with responsibilities that include: analysis, mapping, design, development, collaborative coding practices and relevant tools - Git, GitHub, branching, pull requests, merging, conflict resolution, etc.
  • Experience and proficiency using Azure Portal, Azure Data Factory, Azure DevOps - (Board, Repos, Pipelines, Artifacts), Visual Studio 2017/2019, Visual Studio Code, Git.
  • Experience leveraging Azure Monitor as a part of enterprise solution monitoring, alerting and notification.
  • Extensive experience with waterfall and agile methodologies, typical solution artifacts like conceptual designs, detailed designs, unit test plans and test data planning, etc.
  • Enterprise experience with ETL tools, Informatica Power Center preferred.
  • Experience with Powershell scripting and python scripting. Experience with enterprise scheduling solutions, CA Workload Automation preferred.
