About the Role

Corporate Engineering is seeking a highly motivated Senior or Lead level IT Developer to join us as we build robust Salesforce solutions for our team. This role primarily supports the Compliance and Legal organization at Robinhood and will be based out of our Menlo Park office when we return to a hybrid model in 2022.

As the most senior IT Developer on the team, you will be responsible for developing, integrating, and architecting various systems and driving workflows that help Robinhood achieve regulatory compliance and audit defensibility. You will partner with Compliance and Legal teams to understand their tools, processes, pain points, and how to fix them.

What you’ll do day-to-day:

  • Build, test, and release internally-facing features with exacting correctness and scalability requirements; assure quality, security, audit and compliance requirements are met for supported areas.
  • Guide project and application development teams by implementing appropriate integration solutions based on required use cases.
  • Design and build integration solutions that support data exchange between applications using messaging, ETL, or managed file transfers
  • Work closely with multi-functional teams and vendors to define and implement technical and business requirements.
  • Research and evaluate new software technologies.
  • Assist the team in collecting, processing, analyzing, and delivering electronic artifacts needed by our Legal and Compliance organizations.
  • Own systems and be responsible for end to end development from the architecture to the development and scaling of the system.
  • Thorough integration documentation, project documentation, and provide knowledge transfer to team and stakeholders.
  • Be an engineer in a fast paced, collaborative and detail oriented environment where quality of engineering is very high.
  • You'll also need to have excellent problem-solving skills, meticulous organizational ability, and attention to detail while being passionate about interacting and collaborating with stakeholders and vendors.

About you:

  • 5-10+ years of software engineering experience
  • Salesforce Developer I/II certification
  • Force.com Certified Developer Certification
  • Experience with programming/scripting languages (e.g., Python, Go, Java, Apex, etc)
  • Experience in Salesforce front-end development, Apex, Lightning Web Component development, integrations, process and flows, and current SFDC UI options
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of relational databases, data modeling, and ETL tools (e.g., Spark, Hive, MySQL)
  • Experience with web services (e.g., REST & SOAP, JSON & XML, etc.)
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and drive to develop strong working relationships
  • Resourcefulness, persistence, and ability to thrive in fast paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Exceptional written and communication skills
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, prioritize and juggle multiple projects
  • A desire to work within a fast-paced, collaborative, and team-based support environment

Bonus points:

  • Experience with FINRA, SEC, SOX, GDPR, ISO 27001, and more
