Position Overview:
As the IT Cloud Applications Engineer, you will help transform the growing IT team at Brilliant Earth, while building your own skills and creating an amazing experience for your colleagues. You will support the day-to-day network and cloud systems operations, build documentation, and emphasize superior support models. You will support our downtown San Francisco and Denver headquarters, distribution centers, showrooms, and distributed workforce. Brilliant Earth is primarily a SaaS application environment including Okta and Microsoft Office 365.
What you’ll do:
- Primarily work with cloud-based single sign-on systems and engage hands-on, supporting our Okta SSO environment. Other SAML and SCIM experience welcome.
- Administer our Microsoft Office 365 services and licensing.
- Manage cloud document storage platforms – Box, DropBox, OneDrive, etc.
- Create and maintain automation with Workato, Okta workflows, or similar services.
- Help build and manage our ticketing system within FreshService ticketing system.
- Assist with maintaining accurate inventory, asset tracking, and change management controls.
- Show a positive outlook (including Outlook!) and humor by making IT nothing less than an immersive, atypical experience for all of our co-workers and customers.
- Mentor and assist co-workers and vendors for continuity of policies and procedures instituted by our team.
- Be a part of our rotating on-call support for cloud application and network related issues.

- Manage the configuration and collaborate on issues involving our network environment from the Cisco Meraki Dashboard.
- Assist in building and administering our cloud MDM and security environments, including: JAMF Cloud for macOS and iOS management and Microsoft Intune for Windows.
- Keep AV systems – Neat hardware and Zoom accounts – functioning well and assist in running larger all-hands style meetings.
You’re a great candidate if you have:
- At least 5 years of experience with Okta, OneLogin, or equivalent identity management platforms and have managed SSO implementations, along with SCIM provisioning and two-factor authentication policies.
- Five years of experience administering communication, collaboration, and storage platforms like Microsoft Office 365 or Google Workspace and Box, DropBox, or similar services.
- An understanding of and ability to troubleshoot the essentials of wired and wireless connectivity, ISP connectivity, and VPNs.
- Experience managing Freshdesk or other relevant ticketing service experience.
- Contributed to the deployment of MDM systems in an enterprise setting.
- Experience with Zoom and Zoom Rooms, or other equivalent video conferencing systems in an enterprise environment.
- A clear and effective communication style when writing ticket updates to onsite and remote users.
- The ability to thrive in high-volume, fast-paced, and feedback-driven environments.
- The ability to occasionally travel to our San Francisco office.
- Approachable and knowledgeable communication style with all levels of co-workers.
The targeted budget for this position is 115-125k.This compensation budget range may be adjusted at any time at the discretion of the company.
