The Digital Experience team, part of MassMutual's Enterprise Technology & Experience organization, designs, builds, and supports the company's mobile apps for customers and financial professionals. To help us achieve our mission, we are hiring team-oriented iOS engineers at all levels to help us take our customer and financial professional experiences to the next level. 

About the Role

As an iOS engineer at MassMutual, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Build mobile features that increase user adoption of the MassMutual apps;

  • Help customers understand their entire portfolio with MassMutual;

  • Improve the way our financial professionals engage with their clients;

  • Drive innovation in payments;

  • Incorporate the latest security and identity management tools;

  • Build the foundational technologies that support all of our apps; and

  • Envision creative solutions to technical challenges.

Qualifications

An ideal candidate for this role will have:

  • At least 1 year of experience building engaging mobile apps using one or more iOS development tools, including Swift, Cocoa Touch, UIKit, and XCode;

  • Experience in developing and using mobile Frameworks (cocoapods, Swift Package Manager, fastlane etc.);

  • A collaborative approach to technical problem solving;

  • An understanding of branching and merging strategies such as Gitflow;

  • A passion for working on cross-functional teams;

  • Experience leveraging REST based APIs to build applications; and

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in fields including computer engineering, computer science and/or information systems.

One of our projects is an application we built for our Investment Mgmt team called ViPER (Visualizing Investment Portfolio Enhanced Reporting). The application makes it easy to manage reports and get insights from Data Science models. Now with ~150 active users, it reflects how we’re using DS to facilitate data driven decision processes across MM.
