We are seeking a motivated and highly experienced 5G Integration and Deployment Engineer to join a newly created high-profile team to support LM's pursuit of numerous DoD 5G related efforts. One of the primary goals of this effort is to develop a fully functional 5G prototype environment that can be used by various 5G developers to build and test 5G related technology to include software and hardware to improve our defense products. We're looking to expand the team in anticipation of a contract award.

The qualified candidate should have a broad engineering skillset and background in systems integration and the full systems development lifecycle. The candidate will work on an agile scrum team aimed at implementing features that provide diverse mission solutions across a wide array of domains including communications, telecom, electronic, sensor systems, and resiliency.

As a 5G Integration and Deployment Engineer, you will be responsible for the deployment and integration of leading edge 5G technologies to enable advanced battlefield connectivity. Both in the lab and in the field, you will plan, test, develop, execute and deploy 5G infrastructure in a DOD environment. You must have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work through dependencies with other teams to tackle critical issues quickly. Often, you may need to help where the team needs it, even if it crosses boundaries into software or hardware engineering occasionally.

This job is aligned with our 21st Century Warfare (21CWF5G) initiative to help the U.S. and its allies leverage emerging technologies to deter threats to economic prosperity and national security.
Basic Qualifications:
- Experience with software defined networks (SDN)
- Experience using system communications emulator equipment and test equipment tools
- Excellent knowledge of 3GPP standards
- Experience on 5G cell tower deployment and issue debugging process and tools.
- Networking experience with TCP/IP, Routers, Firewall, Load Balancers, DNS, Routing Protocols configuration
Desired Skills:
- Direct experience supporting teams with requirements interpretation, interface definition and testing
- Familiarity with:
- DevSecOps
- CI/CD pipelines
- SIGINT domain

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
