  • Build data models and manage various data schemas and interfaces (both custom and standard)
  • Design, build, and fine-tune data translation processes and data exchange for low to high complexity interfaces using Circulo’s integration engine and other applications as needed
  • Contribute to the development of APIs to enable secure data exchange, including data in industry standard formats (e.g. FHIR)

Who We Are Looking For

  • 3+ years of experience building EMR/EHR system integrations or equivalent healthcare interoperability experience
  • Strong command of clinical data applications & systems and health data structure / messaging standards
  • Experience with common healthcare data standards (e.g. HL7 2.x/3.x, FHIR, CCD, C-CDA, X12, USCDI) and translation of data into / out of standard formats; HL7 FHIR Developer Certification preferred
  • Experience using interface engines (e.g. Mirth Connect, Corepoint, Rhapsody, Pilotfish) to handle complex message transformations & routing
  • Strong programming skills (e.g. Java, Javascript, Python, C++)
  • Experience with building, testing, deploying, and supporting industry standard interoperable APIs
  • Experience with various communication technologies and interface protocols (TCP/IP, FTP, SFTP, VPN)
  • Knowledge of web service technologies (SOAP, REST, SAML, SOA, XML, JSON)
  • Familiarity with healthcare standard terminologies (e.g. RxNorm, NDC, SNOMED, CPT codes, UMLS, NDC, etc.)
  • Experience designing integration architectures
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure and services
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced agile environment, and the ability to consistently revise your approach in response to new information
