Integration Architect
Description
This is a Hybrid position within our Digital Business Software Organization. The role will allow employees to work remotely but may also require limited onsite work based on business needs. This position requires the selected candidate to be onsite 1-3 times per week.
About the OEM Expansion Architecture Team team at General Motors :
The team is responsible for working with the DBS and GECSI and Vehicle teams and Honda to integrate OnStar capabilities and Connected Services for two Honda/Acura branded MY 24 electric vehicles GM is building for Honda. They will have responsibility for overseeing the development of software to support integration points between the back offices of these two companies. Our team interfaces with existing SAFe ART teams' application architects, product owners, and developers who support the delivery of these integrations to enable the GM Honda Connected Services Agreement required services.
About the Integration Architect:
The Integration Architect is responsible for understanding the integrations required to deliver the GM Honda Connected Services agreement services. These integrations are needed to support the GM back office bi-directional connectivity to Honda back office. The primary integration points will be supported with GM Standard integration patterns through APIs, MaxTransit data streaming, Call Center integration and File Transfer to support key functions of onboarding Honda customers to OnStar and Connected services, remote command to the vehicles, real-time data transfer of telematics data, Connected Services product sales and billing of GM services to Honda customers. The successful candidate will work in a highly collaborative environments working across many disciplines. This candidate will have frequent and direct interaction with Honda and GM teams to facilitate delivery of the required integrations.

- Take leadership responsibility in end-to-end integration architecture for digital retail platforms, business-to-consumer applications, and back office to back office systems
- Drive innovation and development to provide world class customer facing capabilities
- Drive technology standards and adoption of technologies
- Be able to straddle strategic responsibilities with tactical execution
- Break complex tasks down into reasonable work packets that implement complex features
- Be able to clearly articulate direction and maintain clear direction with our partner.
- Estimate and design work that is just-in-time and sized in small increments
- Perform root cause analysis, do technology evaluations, and develop quick prototypes
- Commit to completing well-defined, secure, and elegant work and deliver on their commitments
- Report status of assigned architecture development and/or maintenance tasks
- Consistently follow the specified architectural standards and abide by best-in-class security implementations to protect both companies from Cybersecurity threats
- Work with development teams, test and validation resources in a continuous integration and continuous delivery model under SAFe software development methodologies
Prospective team members must possess a high degree of business insight, creativity, decision making skills, a drive for results, the ability to negotiate, the ability to develop strong peer relationships, and a strong technical learning capability and focus.
Additional Description
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience in leading technology teams with strategic and tactical responsibilities
- Experience with Agile teams that have regularly delivered software
- Ability to understand and implement business process into technical automated processes
- Over 5 years experience working on a complex software development project and with integration between multiple systems
- Over 5 years experience working with advance data sharing techniques - both real-time and non real-time
- Familiar with API specifications
- Familiar with OAuth Security
- Ability to design business systems interfaces with a focus on scalability, high availability, and fault tolerance
- Over 5 years software development utilizing industry standard design patterns
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to effectively communicate and translate feedback, needs and solutions
- Creative problem-solving skills that deliver elegant solutions to complex issues
- Strong teamwork focus (live by the team, die by the team) and the ability to foster collaboration within and across teams
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related field, or, equivalent combination of education and recent, relevant work experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with EV charging functionality.
- Experience with OnStar back-office systems.
- Experience with key architectural components (i.e., MaxTransit Apache Pulsar, Sterling File Transfer, PAPI, call center technologies)
- SAFe Certification.
