Job Description:
ECS Federal is currently searching for a full-time Infrastructure Oversight Technical Lead to work on-site in Washington, DC to support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to work collaboratively and bring creative solutions to our Veterans Health Administration (VHA) clients. This role contributes to improving the Veteran's lives and working toward a larger mission.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) program as an Infrastructure Oversight Technical Lead.
  • Serve as technical leader for a subset of all interfaces supporting OEHRM implementation.
  • Acts as highest-level technical expert, addressing problems of systems integration, compatibility, healthcare semantics, informatics, and multiple platforms.
  • Coordinate between interfaces and all infrastructure areas including environments and LAN/ WAN configuration.
  • Serve as project manager for requirements management including enterprise and site-level requirements analysis and requirements traceability.

Required Skills:

  • 5+ years of professional work experience.
  • Experience with requirements development, requirements management, and requirements traceability.
  • Strong experience with SharePoint and PowerBI.
  • Must have experience independently designing and developing new software products or major enhancements to existing software for a healthcare/clinical environment.
  • Ability to perform as highest-level technical expert, addressing problems of systems integration, compatibility, healthcare semantics, informatics, and multiple platforms.
  • Must have experience seeing projects to completion.
  • Must have experience performing feasibility analysis on potential future projects to management.
  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare IT, computer science, electronics engineering, engineering or technical related field, or an additional 10 years of relevant experience may be substituted for degree requirements.

Clearance: Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance.
Desired Skills:

  • Experience in the VA.
  • Experience implementing Electronic Health Records.
  • Experience with large scale, enterprise systems integration/interface and deployment.
  • Experience managing core technical aspects of IT related projects.
  • Knowledge and experience using a variety of interfacing strategies, especially middleware/SOA.
  • Knowledge of VA Network capacity planning activities around VistA.
  • Knowledge of Visio, Cisco Prime / Riverbed, Cisco CCIE, and OpNet (a combination of Netscout/Netflow and Solarwinds SNMP data).
  • Knowledge of Network security.
