Provide day-to-day Engineering and operational support for the Object Storage and Network-attached Storage platforms for Cigna. Will be responsible for the Engineering and operation of Object Storage, file share systems, replication, and various other storage components in order to ensure data availability for the business. Will work with various solutions including, but not limited to Cloudian, NetApp, NetApp StorageGrid, EMC ECS, EMC Isilon, Unity and Virtana. Will work on monitoring the environment and trend analysis to ensure a healthy environment.

Will assist in the diagnosis (Root Cause Analysis) and correction of NAS, and Object Storage problems. Troubleshooting and resolving infrastructure issues based on system architecture, project requirements, and customer expectations.

Execute Change Requests for assigned products in compliance with Change Management Policies. Participates in On Call rotation acting as the incident owner for after-hours support issues.

Required Skills

  • Strong Knowledge of Object Storage and Network-attached environments, structure and design concepts.
  • Experience with provisioning object storage via an API
  • Experience in, designing, implementing On-Prem and Off-Prem NAS or and Object storage.
  • Strong Documentation skills to include creating and updating detailed environment design, installation, and support documentation.
  • Experience in automation and automation tool scripts like Ansible, PowerShell, and Python etc.
  • Excellent analytical ability and communications skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Time-management skills
  • Customer service skills and experience
  • Strong organization abilities
  • Strong team mentor leadership and mentor
  • Strong Knowledge of S3 Object Storage technologies
  • Knowledge of NetApp and Dell EMC File Services
  • Knowledge or hands-on experience with DR Products such as SRM and RecoverPoint.
  • Drives in-depth assessment of emerging storage technologies to validate that the technology and architecture are appropriate for business solution needs and communicates assessment to the rest of the team.
  • Working with the vendors to resolve escalated problem tickets.
  • Help drive vendors and partners to troubleshoot issues as well as to find the root cause and deploy improvements to prevent future issues and outages.
  • Improve the way applications and infrastructure work to allow updates, issues, and maintenance to be performed with minimal or no impact to end-users.
  • Strong communication skills geared towards effective communication of concepts, design rationale, and findings to the organization.
  • Participate in on-call rotation.
  • Evaluate and provide input on the selection of any key technologies within the Storage (NAS) environment.
  • Instill and maintain high levels of integrity and security, work in close conjunction with CIGNA Information and Protection (CIP) team.
  • Ability to work in a fast pace environment and keep up with multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently or in a group setting as needed to accomplish goals and objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 6 years of Object Storage, NetApp, Dell EMC solution implementation and experience preferred
  • 4-year degree preferred
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience managing and executing the multi-year strategic vision.
  • Experience working independently with general direction.
  • Experience in how to communicate with stakeholders at all levels to understand requirements.
  • Experience with establishing and achieve goals and maintain timelines.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written communication, and presentation skills.


For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of $93,800 - $156,300, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
