As the Infrastructure Engineer, ETS M&A in the BT organization you will be responsible for migrating and integrating collaboration and infrastructure technologies. This includes, but is not limited to: applications, identity management, compute (physical and virtual), storage, network, databases, client endpoints, mobile devices, and workspace technologies. You will help drive standards for integration and will provide recommendations across these infrastructure domains for existing and new acquisitions based on your assessments. You will also be involved in IT infrastructure projects that will optimize current services as well as deploy and integrate new technologies for the global corporate IT environment. You will interact with various business, security, engineering and operational teams. This role will contribute to the overall success of the ETS organization by providing recommendations and key insight into the technological path of acquisitions and corporate IT. You need to come with a strong point of view on how the acquisitions should be integrated and an understanding of the feasibility of your recommendations.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive audits of acquisition's infrastructure environment in a short period of time
  • Document and or collect asset inventories, service catalogs, process diagrams, architectural diagrams, on going projects, run rates, team structures and skill sets
  • Assess maturity levels and criticality of the technology and services
  • Evaluate integration strategies for process and technology based on Salesforce IT standards and make recommendations to migrate, integrate, decommission, or build custom solutions.
  • Recommendations should include estimations on scope, complexity, cost, schedule, and risk.
  • Recommend custom solutions using creative ideas to minimize impact to the business, cost, schedule, and on-going support
  • Develop high-level solution designs as required to help illustrate your recommendations
  • Scope out the integration effort including resources, schedule, cost, complexity, and risk
  • Execute technology migrations for email, calendar, file storage, and other collaboration and infrastructure services.
  • Design, operate, secure and maintain migration tools and platforms
  • Work with vendors to execute native migrations adhering to best practices and security standards.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of integration process and technology standards across infrastructure domains
  • Frequent travel required
  • Negotiate adherence to standards and manage expectations with the business
  • Communicate updates and present recommendations to stakeholders
  • Identify areas that require user training and/or user communications



Required Skills/Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3+ years of broad IT work experience including operations, build, design and architecture in Enterprise environments with over 4,000 users
  • Prior experience with migration projects
  • Ability to learn and apply new technologies or concepts quickly
  • Ability to navigate sensitive situations when engaging people from potential acquisitions
  • Ability to manage highly confidential information
  • Self-motivator who can run with tasks and projects on their own
  • Breadth of knowledge of various infrastructure services (apps, systems, storage, databases, network, endpoints, mobile devices, workspace technology)
  • Intimate knowledge of the Salesforce IT organization, services, and processes
  • Solid understanding of security theory/practice
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and balance conflicting demands
  • Ability to document run lists, designs, and process
  • Ability to work well and collaborate with other teams of various skill levels

  • Prior experience with mergers and acquisitions
  • Prior experience with the Salesforce.com application
  • Experience with SaaS, PaaS and IaaS
  • Experience with AWS / GCP
  • Experience with CloudMigrator
  • Experience with Google Workspace
  • Experience with O365
  • Background in Information Security
  • One or more industry certifications



This role is Office-Flex (~1-3 days/wk in office) or Fully Remote
