Description

The IT Tech Analyst - Infrastructure as Code Developer for the Infrastructure Architecture Team will work as part of the larger team to design and develop consumable public cloud products, while helping to ensure consistency with company strategy and goals.

Detailed Description:

This role is an entry level position that requires the individual to have an aptitude to learn while participating in the overall design, development, and testing of automated public cloud resource management, provisioning, and deprovisioning.

To be successful the candidate must be driven and well-organized, with strong learning abilities. It is essential for the individual to be self-motivated and tenacious, thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, and complete tasks on agreed schedules. This individual will create prototypes of cloud service offerings using CI/CD tools and practices that will provide the foundational processes and technology to support publication via a service catalog.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Participate in the design and development of Infrastructure as Code solutions in a multi-cloud environment (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud)
  • Create, debug, and test code to enable automated testing and deployment of IaaS and PaaS public cloud resources
  • Configure deployment pipelines, troubleshoot pipeline build/deployment issues
  • Gather data and feedback to identify repeatable patterns, usage patterns, and dependencies for optimized templates and delivery
  • Analyze, design, and develop technical solutions based upon user specifications and technology frameworks, in adherence with Huntington standards
  • Perform complex technical assignments independently, as well as, in large team settings


Basic Qualifications:
  • 1 year of programming experience with a bachelor's degree or equivalent transferable experience through coursework, internships, or work experience in lieu of participation in the Elevate Program.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Basic knowledge of Cloud technologies such as Azure, AWS or Google Cloud
  • Understanding of infrastructure concepts (compute, networking, storage, OS, database)
  • Experience with coding in languages such as Python, Azure CLI, HCL, PowerShell
  • Strong technical skills and a good understanding of software development principles
  • Strong business and technology aptitude with a willingness to learn and understand cloud automation concepts, practices, and tools
  • Excellent verbal and written communications
  • Highly motivated with strong organizational, analytical, decision making, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to build strong partnerships and to work collaboratively with all business and IT areas
  • Ability to effectively handle multiple priorities, prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • High level of professionalism, confidence, and ability to build credibility with team members and business partners
  • Understanding of project lifecycle methodologies (e.g., Waterfall, Iterative, Agile/Scrum) and project management processes and standards
  • Understanding of source code management
  • Experience with CI / CD tools a strong plus
  • Engaged and inquisitive - not afraid to ask questions or offer suggestions
