Job Description As a member of our Infrastructure Development team, you'll dive right into creating innovative solutions that advance businesses and careers. You'll join an inspiring and curious team of technologists dedicated to developing and deploying large-scale infrastructure solutions that support JPMorgan Chase & Co.'s diverse and critical businesses. You'll be using the latest technologies, data management, and security practices in all aspect of software development. Critical thinking, clear communication, and collaboration are key to successful product delivery.
This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
  • Software development experience in one or more general-purpose programming languages: Python, Java
  • Experience working with two or more from the following: web application development, data integration, unix/linux environments, private and public cloud, SQL, messaging, and event driven applications
  • Understanding or have experience with Agile and Lean methodologies
  • Strong critical-thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills with clear communication
  • Ability to collaborate across diverse teams and technologies to achieve common goals


Key Accountabilities/Major Responsibilities:
You will join Technology Reference Data(TRD) Curation team focused on Data Governance, Information Architecture and Data Quality Management initiatives within GTI (Global Technology Infrastructure) and contribute to the execution of IDaaP (Infrastructure Data as a product) initiatives.
You will get an opportunity on contributing to adoption and implementation of Master Data Management (MDM) solution . You'll join an inspiring and curious team of technologists dedicated to improving the design, analytics, development, coding, testing and application programming that goes into creating high quality products.
This role will be responsible for:

  • Design and Development of key functionality within the application
  • Hands on design and development of technical artifacts
  • Participate in technical reviews, define/Improve processes on configuration management, deployment and resiliency planning for the application.
  • Maintaining, enhancing, and implementing bug fixes; proactively monitoring priority items, investigating issues and analyzing solutions, and driving problems through to resolution.
  • Collaborating with xLOB (Cross Line of Business) teams on technical requirements to align to the existing offerings and roadmap
  • Creating System Integration Solutions and Interfaces
  • Enforcing good agile practices like story estimation and test-driven development.
  • Driving continuous improvement and innovation.


Knowledge and Experience Required:
Essential:

  • Strong fundamentals in data structures, caching, multithreading, messaging, and asynchronous communication
  • Unix/Linus tools and shell scripting
  • Java Frameworks (preferably Spring & SpringBoot)
  • Good knowledge of J2EE & OO, Java Design Patterns
  • Development tools and Java IDE (Ant, Maven, Jenkins, Junit, Spark, Eclipse, IntelliJ)
  • Exposure to UI development (Angular JS, React)
  • Strong technical development experience on effectively writing code, code reviews, best practices on configuration management and code refactoring.
  • Proficiency in SQL and Database development.
  • Experience with AWS Cloud


Desirable:

  • Experience or knowledge of reference data as it relates to Technology Infrastructure would be an advantage
  • Development and working experience on any one of the MDM platforms(TIBCO EBX preferred )
  • Exposure to Git, Junit, Sonar, Selenium and JIRA desirable
  • Knowledge and experience in data related activities (data modeling, data quality, data governance, metadata, data management, data structures, data visualization, and business requirement)
  • AWS Certification is a plus


Experience:

  • 6+ years' experience with data engineering lifecycle implementation from concept through implementation
  • Excellent Communication and Inter-personal skills, both with business customers and with fellow IT professionals (Business Analysts, Project Managers and Developers).
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • A delivery focused approach to work and the ability to work without direction
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to work within deadlines.
