Summary:
The Information Architect supports the client by providing leadership and architectural directionforour customer'sportfolio of products supportedacross a major enterprise.This position will focus on the required architecture and technical roadmap to helpour customer'ssuite of products. TheInformationArchitect will be responsible for establishing and implementing the architectural standards, policies, and procedures for all thecustomers applications and will workdirectlywith othersubject matter expertsand stakeholders. This position is also responsible for researching new technologies, products, and standards incorporated into the customer'ssuite of applications. The current technicalinfrastructureis primarily Microsoft, F5,and VMWare based.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Design enterprise system architectures focused on Microsoft Server, F5BigIp, and VMWare technologies.
- Architect and oversee implementation of containerization architecture systems such as Kubernetes and RedHat OpenShift.
- Possess knowledge of and help design improvements for Microsoft Exchange and Active Directory configurations.
- Familiarity designing and working with disaster recovery and high availabilityarchitectures, andleveraging clustering and global load balancing to achieve redundancy across disparate datasites.
- Determinethe system architecture to be used for each application with consideration given to such things as centralized versus decentralized servers, use of service-oriented architecture (SOA), designing nonfunctional elements of each system, e.g., response time, system availability, backup requirements, and interface needs; and performing research into new technologies, products, and standards which can be incorporated into the client's applications.
- Assess and meet the security standards of each application as defined by the IT Security Office.Familiarityworking with DISA STIGs is desired.
- Define, implement,anddocument the solutions architecture roadmap, designs, procedures, standards, and metrics; and ensurecompliance and conformity of software architecture and technology standards.
- Define, implement,and documentthe framework for system architecture design, software design and development, IT security, and performance testing platforms.
- Improving, continually, the solutions architecture process or code development efficiency through effective leadership, individual and group training, and process improvement.
- Work closely with other architects to ensure system design follows the industry best practices and standards that align with the client's framework.
- Provideregular status updates to senior management and in related status meetings through reports, dashboards, and presentations.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, or other related scientific or technical discipline is required.
- MS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or other related disciplines preferred.
- Position requires three to eight years of relevant experience supporting projects of similar size, scope and complexity.
- Experience can besubstitutedfor education.
- Candidate must bepossessor be able to acquireDoD 8140IAT Level IIcompliance(CompTIA Security+, etc.) upon hire.
- ActiveTop Secretclearance that has been adjudicated within the last 52 months.
