Information Security Rotation Program - Summer 2022 Start

Rapid7’s Rotation Program is an immersive 18 month program aimed at building skills, collaboration and creating company affinity. In Rapid7's Rotation Program, you will develop lifelong skills for your career including Leadership, Initiative, Problem Solving, and Functional Expertise. Participation in group learning and community engagement is aimed at building a broader perspective while working cross collaboratively as a cohort and testing the skills you're learning in your track.
In this Information Security focused track (otherwise known as the #secure track) you will work on 3 separate teams within our InfoSec team. This provides you the opportunity to learn the different problems each team is trying to solve and the various systems and tools they use.
How You’ll Make an Impact on the SECURE Track:
Rotate through Security Operations, Trust & Governance, and Security Engineering
Learn how Rapid7 practices DevSecOps, including writing automation, securing our infrastructure and code, as well as monitoring our platform and corporate environments for security weaknesses
Gain real life experience building and incorporating security tooling into the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
Monitor servers, networks, applications, workstations, and more for malicious activity to stop attacks in their tracks and recover from them
Create systems to protect customer data and improve customer trust in Rapid7
Develop the necessary skills to become a professional security analyst or engineer using the latest technology
Assist in vital risk-reduction activities like vendor security assessments, access recertifications, and security awareness and culture initiatives.
Learn about security compliance best practices by assisting in control operating effectiveness testing and audit preparation.

Self-starter & team player with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
A history of extracurricular activities such as sports, student government, leadership roles, part-time or full-time work, etc.
Bachelor's degree in a technical area such as Information Security, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related field
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
