This position could offer work-from-home option that is open to those who reside in Illinois 65+ miles from Peoria, IL or for those that do not reside in the State of IL (dependant on location of candidate).
POSITION SUMMARY: The Information Security Engineer designs and implements IT security systems to protect the organization's computer networks from cyber attacks. Develops organization-wide best practices for IT security. Evaluates, plans, designs, configures, and implements security systems to protect the organization's computer networks from cyber attacks and helps set and maintain security standards. Analyzes, tests, troubleshoots, and maintains installed systems and support users. Operates and monitors network and host-based intrusion detection and prevention systems, recommends security solutions, advises on systems and application-level security configurations, and investigates and mitigates vulnerabilities and security risks as required to deliver appropriate risk mitigation. Utilizes and develops standards, practices, and processes to establish, manage, and report adherence to security programs and may contribute to resolution of complex problems that involve careful interpretation. The Engineer will be expected to lead other technical staff and partner effectively with key business and IT leaders and staff.

Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Associates Degree in Computer Science/IT related field and 8 years of experience in IT and/or Cybersecurity OR Bachelors Degree in Computer Science/IT related field and 6 years of experience in IT and/or Cybersecurity.
Other Licenses/Certifications: CISSP (Certified Information Security Professional) and one other advanced technical or security-related certification OR OSCP (Offensive Security Certified Professional) OR CISA (Certified Risk and Information Systems Control) OR CIPP/US (Certified Information Privacy Professional) OR CISM (Certified Information Security Manager) or equivalent.
Other skills/knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Masters Degree with concentration in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Business Administration.
License/Certifications: Certifications in OSCP (Offensive Security Certified Professional) OR CISA (Certified Risk and Information Systems Control) OR CIPP/US (Certified Information Privacy Professional) OR CISM (Certified Information Security Manager) or equivalent,
Experience: Experience with key OSF applications.
Other requirements/information: Understanding of firewalls, proxies, SIEM, antivirus, and IDPS concepts.
