Overview
The PennyMac Information Security department is looking to bring on an engineer that will be responsible for supporting the security aspects of enterprise applications and supporting information security incidents. This position will work with technology and business teams to ensure that all necessary technical security requirements are met.
Job Description
  • Assist in engineering security solutions for the organization
  • Oversee and administer security tools to ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures as they pertain to Information Security, systems hardening, software patching and fixes.
  • Work with system design architects and project managers to provide security requirements and confirm their integration within the phases of the SDLC
  • Work closely with the security compliance team
  • On a continuing basis, researches, identifies, recommends and deploys solutions and data security applications that may strengthen or improve the overall security posture of PennyMac
  • Interact with the associate population to address security incidents and answer questions concerning security policy and operations
Ideal Candidate will have the following:
  • Good knowledge of software development principles and design patterns
  • 5+ years of experience with incident response, cyber security engineering, security tool administration and compliance/risk
  • Experience with cloud architectures particularly AWS
  • Development knowledge - for example Python, Java, C#, .NET, Web Services (SOAP/REST/RESTful APIs), Shell programming/scripting
  • Experience with privileged access management (PAM) tools
  • Certifications
    • CISSP, SANS, GIAC are a plus
