Job Summary
Enterprise Information Services is responsible for Aerospace's classified and unclassified enterprise IT environment. The Information Security Engineer will be responsible for assisting in the development, documentation, implementation, operation, and transition of security technologies with a focus on end-user education and awareness, security operations and reviews, and vulnerability management. The Information Security team is responsible for incident response, security assessments, risk mitigation programs, vulnerability scanning, identity and access management and integrating systems across the enterprise.
Work Model
Hybrid - can be mostly remote but must commute into the office when needed (El Segundo, CA or Chantilly, VA)
What You'll Be Doing
- Develop, maintain, and oversee the education and security awareness outreach program for the corporation
- Identify incident patterns, determine proactive solutions, and communicate areas of enhancement to management
- Complete incident investigations and security reviews
- Work closely with other department with IT on corporate technology development to fully secure data, systems, and networks
- Remain informed on trends and issues in the security industry, including current and emerging technologies and policies
- Where necessary, provide Tier 3 support to help troubleshoot complex issues and architect new solutions.
What You Need to be Successful
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent field of study or equivalent experience
- Typically, 2 years of experience
- Understanding of enterprise information security, identity access management and associated technologies
- Hands-on experience with operating or maintaining cybersecurity tools
- Fundamental understanding of risk and vulnerability management
- Data gathering, analysis, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which is issued by the US government. U.S citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.
How You Can Stand Out
It would be impressive if you have one or more of these:
- Masters degree from an accredited program in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity or equivalent field of study
- Previous experience in end-user education (i.e. impactful user training development and phishing exercise development)
- Experience implementing large-scale solutions across enterprise infrastructures
- Experience in Incident Response
Grade-Based Pay Range
(Min - Mid - Max)
$85,000 - $110,000 - $135,000
