GENERAL FUNCTION:

We're looking for engineers to bring fresh ideas to the table to assist us in providing best in class digital products for our end customers, ultimately making banking a fifth third better!

Responsible and accountable for fast and secure development by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues, and ensures that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design and implement new features while continuously improving quality of cloud data security products such as platform configuration and orchestration, API iteration, and system integrations.
• Help groom features into engineering user stories with Product Owners.
• Engage and support banking application teams integrating with cloud data security products
• Develop software meeting code quality standards and metrics
• Mentor and develop junior engineers and engineering excellence at the Bank
• Participate in communities of practice by contributing to and following standards, reviewing others code, and sharing knowledge
• Provide technical support to regulatory agencies, external auditors, and internal auditors, as required, to respond to audits and examinations of the Bank's control environment.
• Awareness of latest and common security threats

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

• Experience working with two or more from the following: Data Protection, Encryption / Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), web application development, Unix/Linux environments, and/or security software development.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Systems with 3+ years of experience or comparable relevant experience
• Experience with one or more general purpose programming languages including but not limited to: Python, JavaScript, Java, C/C++, C#, Rust, or Go.
• Interest and ability to learn other coding languages as needed.
• Experience deploying production applications into cloud environments, AWS certification(s) is a plus
• Strong problem solving and collaboration skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English

This role is able to be full time remote with some travel expected to the core team in Cincinnati, OH.
