The Information Architect (IA) will work as part of the GTI (Global Technology Infrastructure) Information Architecture and Information Engineering federated team to achieve a number of strategic objectives , including GTI Strategy 2025
The IA will be considered as the Subject Matter Expert on Data and Information Architecture working closely with business subject matter experts and project development teams. IA will ensure that the design is implementable and the delivery is consistent with the agreed design.
The IA will also work with the JPMC firm-wide, Chief Data Office (CDO), GTI and line of business core architecture teams on standards, tooling and Information Architecture deliverables such as Data Lineage, Lifecycle Management, Quality Monitoring and Metadata Management.
The IA will negotiate and reach consensus with the stakeholders to deliver Model Governance, Controlled Vocabulary artifacts and Communication Contracts.
IA will also govern the implementation and traceability of the Logical and Physical schemas as part of a Model Engineering processes.
Qualifications and Required Skills:

  • 6+ years of related experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Expertise in application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines
  • Strategic thinking and passion for business strategy and business processes
  • Ability to work collaboratively in teams and develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals
  • Experience with Domain Driven Design (DDD) methodology
  • Fluency designing information architectures for system interoperability in cloud environments
  • Experience working with product owners and subject matter experts to design products and model them in class diagrams to extend a common foundational framework
  • Demonstrable success in defining and implementing multiple Enterprise grade Data Models; must be able to show experience modelling data management and/or other architectural metadata.
  • Knowledge of core Information Architecture capabilities, including Master and Reference Data Management, Data Quality (DQ), Metadata Management, Data Classification, Taxonomy, Data Integration, Data Migration and Data Modelling
  • Significant hands-on experience with business information modeling or UML modeling tool.
  • Ability to create abstraction and generalization of solutions into design patterns
  • Strong experience in several major technology implementation projects in roles spanning design, data sourcing, data management, implementation, and refactoring when necessary.
  • Deep familiarity with various types of relational DBMS and non-relational DBMS
  • Excellent command of the SQL language
  • Knowledge of a various of data architecture patterns including ODS, Data Lake, Data Warehousing, OLTP, Data Vault and OLAP
  • Experience in risk control and compliance


Desirable

  • Experience with DEVSECOPS technologies and practices
  • Construction of Domain Specific Languages and mapping into Target Specific Languages
  • Experience with logical data modeling using common industry tools
  • TOGAF and/or DAMA certification is desirable
  • Proficient in Python or Java

High Risk Roles (HRR) are sensitive roles within the technology organization that require high assurance of the integrity of staff by virtue of 1) sensitive cybersecurity and technology functions they perform within systems or 2) information they receive regarding sensitive cybersecurity or technology matters.
