About You:
- At least 5 years of experience working in Manufacturing and/or building applications in the manufacturing domain
- Comfortable working with US-based tech companies and potentially participating in meetings with prospective customers
- Creative, resourceful and highly self-directed in problem solving
- Looks for simplicity and elegance in solutions (“Everything should be made as simple as possible, but no simpler.” - Albert Einstein)
- Have a point of view of how technology can augment human workers in any setting especially in manufacturing operations
What skills (and past experience) do I need?
- Manufacturing “operations” domain knowledge either having worked in a manufacturing company and/or consulted/developed manufacturing applications
- Has architected and coded applications/solutions that support manufacturing operations - extensions of ERP, integrated to ERP, shop floor solutions
- Must be able to pick up a solution blueprint, understand requirements, document and deliver the solution
- Basic project management skills - time estimation, report on progress, estimate budget/timelines and deliver to milestones.
- Must have offshore dev experience working with tech companies based out of the US (startups preferred)
- Led team of software engineers to deliver applications/solutions
- Specific technical skills
- Functional understanding of no-code if/then logic
- Basic understanding of SQL and API connections
- Business process automation
- Functional understanding of JSON
- Functional understanding of REST APIs
- Ability to read API documentation
- Ability to test API endpoints using a tool like postman
Required:
- Working knowledge of ERP (oracle, sap etc.) and exposure to MES
Preferred
- MES/IoT experience with any of the following MES/IoT solutions - thingworx, siemens, dassault
- Familiarity with using a no-code builder, such as powerpoint, mendix, thingworx, zapier, bubble, etc.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Industry Solutions to deliver vertical market “solution bundles”
- Read solution blueprints, understand requirements and commit to “launch” milestones for “solution bundles”
- Daily/weekly/monthly reviews of progress and project updates highlighting any critical path issues along with mitigation plan
- Establish processes (and use Tulip tools) for blueprint review, iteration, testing, documentation and delivery
