Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a Software Engineering field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience working in a cloud computing environment (e.g., infrastructure, storage, platforms, and/or data).
• Experience working in the financial services domain.
• Experience deploying solutions in financial services related to IT infrastructure.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree in Computer Science, a related Engineering field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience working with a variety of technology systems, designing solutions, and developing applications in financial services (e.g., insurance).
• Experience working with sales and marketing teams in cloud computing or related technical fields.
• Ability to learn, understand, and work with emerging technologies, methodologies, and solutions in the cloud technology space.
• Understanding of current trends of the financial services industry (e.g., regulation).

As an Industry Solutions Architect, you'll engage with customers and decision-makers, helping them to understand the benefits of Google Cloud. You will work with our product and engineering teams to design and implement scalable customer solutions on Google Cloud and take them to market.

You will advocate for the platform by presenting these solutions at industry conferences and Google events.

Responsibilities

• Provide financial services domain expertise to support the technical relationship with Google's customers.
• Survey existing customer IT landscape. Define and develop solutions for business cases. Create training materials to help scale solutions delivery.
• Demonstrate thought leadership in cloud computing and become a trusted advisor to decision-makers. Guide development of standards that meet platform and customer needs.
• Partner with product management and engineering to develop and prioritize solutions impacting customer adoption of Google Cloud.
• Travel to customer sites, conferences, and other related events.
