As an Industrial Engineer for Micron Technology, you're a key member of a team responsible for leading key initiatives in Micron's Assembly / Test Planning operations. The Industrial Engineer collaborates with various roles and teams across the enterprise to represent Assembly / Test Manufacturing related projects and activities.
As an Industrial Engineer, you'll interact and network with diverse groups such as Manufacturing, Engineering, Finance, Operations Planning, and varying Business Units to identify and develop long term strategies and improve new and existing processes.


Responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to:

  • Facilitate the development of area strategies, capacity concerns, and boundary conditions
  • Help facilitate and document business processes becoming the SME
  • Drive the Assembly / Test S&OP pre-release analysis, collaborating with Supply Chain and the Business Units
  • Use planning systems, including capacity models and data analytics
  • Use and build performance metrics to understand key issues
  • Ensure completion of projects by prioritizing time according to priorities and scope
  • Recognize, identify, and raise awareness of process issues to appropriate teams with the motivation of "who needs to know these results?"
  • Maintain knowledge of area process, product flow, and budget impacts (business insight)
  • Understand basic factory dynamics (scheduling, cycle time, etc.) limitations and manufacturing configurations
  • Understand detailed worldwide factory limitations (know the questions to ask!)
  • Seek opportunities for increased factory productivity and monitor current capacity health
  • Build and maintain Tableau reports for the global planning teams


What we are looking for:

  • Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering, Data Science, Supply Chain, or Operations Management
  • 2+ years' experience either in business operations, data science, finance, manufacturing or supply chain
  • Detailed oriented
  • Strong decision-making skills using data analysis techniques
  • Confirmed problem-solving, decision-making, and financial skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, comfortable communicating with all levels of the organization
  • Able to influence others using creative approaches
  • Ability to promote creative ideas and accept the risks that are required to lead change
  • Possesses project management and business process management skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Ability to travel internationally when/if needed 10-15%
