Role Summary

Today we use 3rd party products for RRUs to go with our 4G and 5G OpenRAN solutions. To expand our product portfolio, we will develop own high-end Massive MIMO radios. Focus will be on advanced technology and product development together with customers. We will progress this as a start-up company in Mavenir and leverage the whole organization. As a HW/SW Interface engineer you will join the Radio Development Unit team and will be responsible HW control related SW procedure, alogorithm and testing. This position will be based in Richardson, Texas.

Key Responsibilities

• Define HW related SW procedure and algorithm
• Create HW/SW procedure and alogorith document to ensure proper SW implementation for HW control and functionalities
• Track and define changes to SW implementation between various HW products
• Test and verify algorithm and procedure on the HW
• Provide support to HW Design, bring up , integration team with HW related SW changes and with SW test builds
• Provide SW support for Prototype production testing
• Provide active support and guidance for program management

Job Requirements

• Proven track record in Base Station Radio design and HW/SW integration
• Solid knowledge on C/C++
• In depth understanding of Digital/BB design of the radio and working RF design knowledge
• Should be able to interpret System and Radio level specification to define SW Algorithm and procedure for Radio Control.
• Should be able to interpret the HW component specifications to define SW control and algorithm for it.
• In-depth knowledge of Radio SoC (DFE)
• Excellent inter-personal and leadership skills
• Curious minded person striving for continuos learning and innovation
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to quickly grasp and adapt to new technologies and concepts.
• Qualification:
• MS Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
• At least 7+ years' experience in telecommunication industry in HW/SW design roles
