As a member of the Aerospace Civil Systems Group Human Space Flight team you will be responsible for providing Systems Engineering and Integration (SEI) expertise across various commercial systems and NASA programs.
This position can be remotely based or in Denver, CO or Houston, TX
What You'll Be Doing
Minimum Requirements:
- As an Aerospace human space flight systems engineering expert you will be required to provide support to early project formulation and requirements development of systems needed by human spaceflight programs
- You will serve as a technical specialist and project manager, tasked with requirements development, interface definition, engineering planning and design integration and technology evaluation.
- You will perform trade studies on options to provide the program and requirement traces to ensure systems meets expectations.
- You will coordinate requirements, technical objectives, interfaces, and standards with domain experts and team members.
- You will be a member of or leading an engineering team performing analytical studies, developing details of acquisition hardware/software and database specifications, and assisting in planning and development of studies and design projects.
- You will assist in technology planning and development; performing evaluation of materials and devices; develop procurement specifications and test procedures; prepare details of analytical reports, including preliminary findings and recommendations.
What You Need to Be Successful
It would be impressive if you have one or more of these:
- Bachelor's degree in an appropriate technical subject area
- Five or more years of relevant experience after bachelor's degree
- Experience managing a project from formulation to execution
- Experience working across many teams and subject areas to formulate your analysis and recommendation
- Experience working with NASA and in Human Space Flight disciplines
- Ability to prepare and present decision packages and change requests in a professional manner is key
- Willing to travel as needed or once per quarter
- This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which is issued by the US government. U.S citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance

$98,294 - $159,916 - $221,537
