HRIS Sr. Software Developer
The HRIS Sr. Software Developer develops software solutions, which support and enhance HR's technical infrastructure and processes. This role is also active in advising on and designing the HR infrastructure roadmap, bringing knowledge of and experience in software and infrastructure best practices. The Talent Technology Software Developer Sr monitors and maintains existing HR infrastructure, and works with technical staff in HR and IT to research and implement new solutions. In addition, the Talent Technology Software Developer provides technical guidance and development to the Talent Technology team and stakeholders, as appropriate.
Essential Duties
- Special technical projects, as assigned, related to designing, developing and implementing new Talent technology
infrastructure and automation - Solution Assessment, Development, & Validation
- Develop efficient, logical, maintainable, and understandable software solutions. Plan for maintenance by other
teammatesby upholding standards of code comments, documentation, and training as needed. - Works with project team to ensure proposed solutionsalign with requirementsand maximizesvalue to stakeholder
- Design solutions that align with the infrastructure roadmap and determine when business needs necessitate
changes in the roadmap. Work with manager and other HR/IT stakeholders to balance short-term needs with
long-term infrastructure goals. - Defines requirements for solutions needed to transition from an existing solution to a new one
- Define acceptance criteria, perform gap analysis on proposed solutions, and make recommendations
- Brings deep knowledge of software development and infrastructure work in order to make realistic time/effort estimates and guide stakeholders towards efficient solutions to business needs.
- Work with project team to evaluate impact of defects and to develop plans for resolution or other mitigation
- System/Integration Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitor daily integrations and automations for unusual behavior or system failures.
- Efficiently identify and remediate issues when possible; manage tickets with IT, internal units, or external vendors as
needed to resolve errors. Track and analyze past issues for recurring problems and recommend changes to infrastructure as needed. Implement logging and notification infrastructure to more proactively catch future issues. - Provides coaching, technical development, training, and leadership to Talent technology staff . Proactively seeks training
opportunities f or self and team to stay abreast of new technologies that may enhance the effectiveness of the firm's Talent Technology ecosystem.
Minimum Qualifications
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
EXPERIENCE• 4+ years relevant experience required
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Advanced working knowledge of HRIS, Talent Management or other Talent Systems preferred
Ability to establish and document processes for all parties involved required
Ability to stay calm under pressure required
Ability to think analytically to solve complex problems and issues required
Development tools/languages including Microsoft Excel, Powershell, SQL, Python, Pentaho, R, SAS, C#, JavaScript, HTML required.
Crystal Reports, Microsoft Reporting Services, or other similar reporting or analytics tool experience preferred
LEADERSHIP SKILLS
(MUST NOTE REQUIRED OR PREFERRED)• Ability to lead, supervise, direct, and review the results of projects or assignments required
