Job Description As a senior member of the CCB Home Lending Architecture team, you will work closely with your aligned Product Owner, other Architects, Designers, and Technology executives to define the technology vision across the Chase Home Lending landscape, focusing on the consumer Originations business. In addition to being highly technical, the ability to collaborate, influence, and build consensus across Home Lending product leadership is critical for your success in this role. The ideal candidate will have relevant experience acting as a thought leader, an independent thinker and will have consistently demonstrated the ability to drive strategy in a dynamic environment.
You will develop, maintain, and socialize the Technology Strategy of Home Lending Originations, as well as create reference architectures for aligned area products. Partnering with product teams and others, you will create or oversee the creation of solutions that solve business problems in a modern, secure, and resilient way - aligning to Consumer and Community Bank (CCB), JPMC firm-wide and industry architectural patterns and best practices. As a Product Architect, you are responsible for the critical product definition and boundaries, including APIs, events and data. You are responsible for the adoption of, alignment to and advancement of enterprise architecture standards, as well as tracking and overseeing technical debt. As this is a senior architecture role, it is expected you will bring your energy, experiences and expertise to challenge assumptions, create new ways of working, drive innovation and develop talent. Demonstrated, relevant knowledge and experience in the following areas is essential:
  • Cloud computing concepts such as IaaS, PaaS, and CaaS
  • Public cloud providers and relevant services (AWS, Google, and/or Azure.)
  • Cloud orchestration/configuration services such as Kubernetes or Docker Swarm.
  • Deploying applications in public or private PaaS platforms like Pivotal Cloud Foundry, Docker, AWS EC2, ECS, RDS, ELB, Control Plane
  • Distributed, fault-tolerant, highly scalable databases and related concepts (e.g. eventual consistency, sharding, etc.)
  • Microservice architectures
  • API Management platforms like IBM API Connect or APIGEE
  • Event driven architecture and common event patterns
  • Rules Engines and Workflow systems
  • Service definition and consumption patterns for REST-based APIs

Qualifications for this role include:
  • Minimum of 10 years of Technical Architecture experience - ideally with demonstrated, increasing responsibilities
  • Knowledge of major public cloud platforms, ideally with current solutions architecture certification in at least one (preferably AWS).
  • Minimum of multiple past experiences in leading a team to architecture implementation of program, platform, and/or domain changes into production
  • Minimum of 10 years using architecture methodologies, standards and tools (TOGAF, domain driven design, UML, etc.)
  • Ability to personally architect and drive adoption of solutions and platforms into production
  • Ability to work independently across multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Keen understanding of financial control and budget management
  • Ability to work with multiple design and delivery partners including vendors
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills especially in communicating and influencing senior Business and Technology management
  • Strong understanding of Design and development methodologies and tools including experience with agile delivery
