We are looking for a head of developer platform who will bring a holistic vision for where Reddit should evolve its API and developer toolkit. As a newly-created role, we provide a tremendous opportunity to transform Reddit from a content platform to an experience and content platform. 

As our head of developer platform, you will lead the articulation and delivery of our developer platform strategy. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to join the key pillar of one of the most important consumer products on the Internet. 

Responsibilities

• You will be the leader for Reddit’s Developer Platform. 
• Key responsibilities include: creating the vision, building roadmaps, driving execution and delivering on outcomes.
• You need to have the ability to hire, lead, mentor and retain high performing product managers
• Collaborate with engineering and product leaders to set a long-term strategy.
• Manage budgeting, headcount planning, and working with cross-functional partners (e.g., legal, community, PR, etc.) 
• Champion the work and accelerate our evolution towards a democratized open platform anyone can build on top of.

Qualifications

• 10+ years overall product management experience
• At your core you are driven by the thought of making a difference for other developers and in our users’ lives. 
• You have successfully built and scaled large teams in both start-up and established development organizations.
• Your track record includes bringing new products to market and maturing them with specific experience building world-class developer experiences.
• You are a leader: internally, you are able to influence and engage; externally, you are capable of recruiting the best talent. 
• You may not be coding today but you own and are able to mediate and influence critical architectural decisions. 
• You like the challenge of simplifying complex systems, and you always consider the big picture even when acting locally.
