Description and Requirements
Hardware Development Engineer
Perform design activity for PCBs (Printed Circuit Boards) in ThinkSystem server products (Intel x86 and AMD Romebased servers). This includes schematic design, component selection and supporting physical design of PCBs. Perform early validation of new PCBs designed by the candidate and other electrical engineers. Use oscilloscopes and logic analyzers to perform signal and margin verification. Support defect investigation and resolution of PCBs during the development subsystems that the candidate will be responsible for. Support system level validation and field support engineering teams for and systemlevel testing or field reported issues. Investigate new technologies for future Intel x86 or AMD server designs.
Requirements:
Masters Degree
3 or more years of relevant experience
1. ECAD;
2. PCB Stack-up selection and Routing strategy
3. Card bring-up/validation;
4. Oscilloscopes and Logic Analyzers;
5. System level debugging;
6. Soldering.
