Job Description:
Position Summary
Global Wealth Management Technology is looking for an experienced Hadoop Spark / Scala developer. Responsible for developing and delivering complex software requirements to accomplish business goals. Ensures that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements. Codes solutions, unit tests, and ensures the solution can be integrated successfully into the overall application/system with clear robust, and well-tested interfaces.
Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar related degree.
  • 7+ years of hands-on experience in designing, building and supporting Hadoop Applications using Spark, Scala, Sqoop and Hive.
  • Strong knowledge of working with large data sets and high capacity big data processing platform.
  • Strong experience in Unix and Shell scripting.
  • Experience using Source Code and Version Control Systems like Bitbucket, Git
  • Experience using Job Scheduler like Autosys
  • Experience working in an agile environment
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written and strong relationship and collaborative skills and organizational skills with the ability to work as a member of matrix based diverse and geographically distributed project team.
