Torch Technologies, a 100 percent employee-owned company, is seeking a professional Game Software Developer to join a team currently developing spatial computing and advanced visualization applications. Candidates applying for this position will have the opportunity to integrate software technology with interactive visualization products for educating and training warfighters and civilians.

The candidate selected for this position will be a member of an agile development team working closely with other developers, artists, and subject matter experts. The ideal candidate must be able to work well within a multi-disciplinary collaborative team environment. The teams are developing a framework and customer applications using the framework.

Expectations and Responsibilities:

• As a member of the User Application Team within the Advanced VizLab, you are expected to be a positive, pro-active, and contributing team member, both within the Scrum team, User Application team, Lab, and across the company.
• You will be become familiar with Game Engine features and develop an understanding of character interaction mechanics, systems emulation and simulation, camera, and controls.
• With guidance from team members you will contribute to building components and training scenarios for our training applications.
• You will develop the skills to deliver fast iterations while creating maintainable, testable, well-structured high-quality code.
• You will be responsible for documentation and support including automated tests and low-level debugging of the features you create.

Technical Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering and 0-2 years experience
• Basic understanding and experience with C++ or C#.
• Basic understanding of Object-Oriented Programming.
• Passion for software development and video games.

Desired but Not Required Experience:

• Database application familiarity.
• Unreal Engine & Blueprint development.
• Basic understanding of Scrum development framework.
• Basic understanding of Software Repositories (Git, Perforce Helix, etc.)
