WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

As the Functional Lead for the Salesforce platform at in nVent you bring a wealth of application knowledge, interindustry background, and supporting certifications to assist you in creating Enterprise grade solutions and influencing platform strategy. You will collaborate with BA's and administrators across business segments establishing, implementing, and enforcing Salesforce best practices. This role will not only include traditional BA functions like gathering requirements and interaction with stakeholders around business specific demand, it will also require providing indirect work instruction, coaching, and mentorship to help grow the Salesforce talent pool at nVent. Given our Agile delivery model, all work will be managed through the creation of business cases, epics, and user stories with our Jira and Confluence platforms.

The Functional Lead will also be responsible for conducting design reviews with the segment BA's and admins, establishing release governance to coincide with program increments and sprints, leading . Ultimately this role is a key part of implementing and supporting strategic initiatives related the Salesforce platform at nVent.

WHAT DOES A DAY IN THE LIFE LOOK LIKE?

IN THIS POSITON, YOU WILL GET TO:

  • Lead/facilitate design reviews with the segment BA's and admins to ensure best practices are followed
  • Oversee release management processes to align with quarterly program increments and bi-weekly sprint cadences
  • Establish environment strategies to ensure all declarative configuration and code pass through the same Salesforce development and staging environments
  • Implement continuous improvements and adaptations in Salesforce aligning with the sales and business needs
  • Collaborate with a team of established Salesforce professionals to drive projects and enhancements
  • Maintain detailed knowledge of business' current technology and infrastructure from a functional perspective
  • Provide tier 3 support to administrators and power users
  • Provide reporting assistance, dashboards building
  • Maintaining data quality by conducting data integrity audits, reviewing reports, and working with data owners to fix issues
  • Salesforce Major Release (Readiness) Review / Regression Testing
  • Answer best practice, process and "how to" questions, lead Salesforce trainings for admins and BA's, provide overviews of new functionality as it becomes available
  • Attend Salesforce LIVE webinars, community events and assist in end-user training sessions as new features and functions are deployed



YOU HAVE:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution (preferably in Marketing, Business, Communications, Information Systems or related field)
  • Salesforce Administrator, Platform App Builder, and Sales Cloud Consultant certifications required, advanced certifications preferred
  • Experience with Salesforce license allocation, optimization, and swap practices
  • 7+ years' experience supporting Salesforce Sales Cloud or Service Cloud in a Lightning enabled environment (or a combination of both). Experience with Communities, Commerce Cloud, and/or CPQ is a nice to have.
  • Experience in participating in release management processes using either traditional change sets or 3rd applications (Copado, Autorabit, Gearset, etc.)
  • Strong focus on teamwork and ability to work in teams across all functions and levels
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem solving skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Understanding of Agile, SCRUM methodology. Experience with Jira and Confluence is preferred
  • Ability to manage and prioritize workload to meet deadlines
  • Highly motivated with a strong desire to succeed and achieve goals, as well as the willingness and ability to continuously learn new skills and take on added responsibilities
