The client Program is looking for an individual to mediate the process as we update our application software. We need an individual who is able to absorb program policy and apply it to the software being developed. Additionally, they need to be able to look at the development process through a critical lens asking "why" in order to improve efficacy and transparency. The expectations for this individual are as follows:
• Possesses expertise in software development methodologies and several software tools and technologies, e.g., .Net, C#, SQL Server, Visual Studio, TFS • Acts as the primary lead to ensure smooth delivery of LIHEAP application IT services • Coordinates with Business users to elaborate the requirements and finalize the system design • Prepares the Release playbook and plans for potential risks with software deployments into Production • Assists in detailed level effort estimations and monthly Release planning • Coordinates with Enterprise Operations team to develop and monitor Prod health metrics • Ensures system defects are triaged and streamlined for resolution • Coordinates with the backend IT Development staff to ensure system changes are made according to the approved design • Assists the business users to perform the user acceptance testing • Works closely with the LIHEAP functional lead to provide in-depth techno-functional support of the LIHEAP application • Develops Production Release notes • Supervises the Prod health metrics monitoring • Provides support to meet ad hoc maintenance requests outside of regular releases, such as on-demand queries, data corrections • Resolves the prioritized defects • Ensures the development and maintenance of Traceability Matrix. • Willing to work in-person at least three days a week
The Functional Architect (FA) is the functional expert for an application, a defined set of applications or a portfolio of related applications. The Functional Architect is also responsible for bringing an understanding of the enterprise, business system and industry to the team(s) supporting or interfacing with the application. The primary responsibility of a Functional Architect is to provide expertise in the business process supported by the application, to prepare and review designs, to recommend improvements, and to provide guidance during the testing process. The Functional Architect helps the Programmers establish a clear understanding of the business functional requirements and either creates the functional designs to meet the requirements or reviews and approves the designs written by the Programmers. The Functional Architect must understand all aspects of their specific application(s), and the underlying business process. The more experienced Functional Architect plans, analyzes, and defines high- level software strategies and solutions. Contained in the experienced role is the task of coordinating with other Functional Architects to define technical requirements and long-range plans for meeting customer requirements.
