Quantcast is hiring Full Stack Software Engineers to join the Product Engineering team in our San Francisco office!


As the real-time pulse of the Internet, Quantcast uses machine learning to drive human learning. We’ve built one of the largest computing infrastructures in the world, collecting a constant stream of data from over 100 billion events a day, across 100+ million directly-measured destinations. In addition to this global network, Quantcast has engineered elite map-reduce and real-time processing clusters at a substantial scale, processing an average of 30+ PB of data every single day for various machine learning and data mining applications. 


Our product engineering team develops products that deliver valuable audience insights to our customers in the publishing and marketing worlds. Having built various successful products for these customers separately, we are now building a state-of-the-art, direct-to-customer platform that bring Publishers and Marketers together. 


As a Full Stack Software Engineer in Quantcast’s Ads Reporting team, you will get to make independent decisions and work on many exciting problems. You will stay on top of fast-evolving open source technologies and offer your perspective on the right tools for the job. Our Full-Stack polyglots work in all aspects of agile application development, from DB schema design, Data pipelines, and Java business logic to advanced Javascript frameworks like ReactJS on the front-end. In this role, you will have a major impact on how the world perceives and interacts with our products.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and own well-defined product features that build value for customers.
  • Work with senior engineers to execute major initiatives and projects.
  • Work with product managers and designers to understand and clarify requirements for products and user interfaces.
  • Contribute ideas to to team activities such as daily standups, planning and retrospective meetings.
  • Participate in team-wide on-call rotations.
  • Share knowledge and best practices within the team and the broader engineering organization.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years commercial experience in full stack web development.
  • Proven fundamentals in Javascript, HTML, ES5/6, CSS, and layouts.
  • Strong understanding of various web technologies and MVC frameworks.
  • Experience with developing consumer-facing web applications using Java and React.
  • Passion for embracing new technologies and building world-class products.
  • Experience with GraphQL and microservice service architecture is a plus.

Recognizing the importance of flexible work environments, Quantcast has adopted a hybrid work model. The model gives employees the opportunity to work from home two days a week and work in the office for team collaboration for the remainder of the time. Hybrid employees can also work remotely for two weeks each year or apply for our fully-remote work program.
