Job Description As a member of our Software Engineering Group, we look first and foremost for people who are passionate around solving business problems through innovation and engineering practices. You'll be required to apply your depth of knowledge and expertise to all aspects of the software development lifecycle, as well as partner continuously with your many stakeholders on a daily basis to stay focused on common goals. As a Full-Stack Developer, you have hands-on experience building a web application at all the three layers - UI, service and database. You are an expert in building modern single page UI applications using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. You have designed and implemented REST APIs. You have knowledge designing and querying both relational and NoSQL databases. You are responsible for troubleshooting and debugging application at all layers and you take end-end application ownership.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Full-stack design, development for financial payment management software
  • Follow and promote Agile practices like SCRUM and BDD.
  • Design and write code for web/mobile using JavaScript, HTML and CSS that scale to high-volume production quality
  • Design and implement secure and robust REST APIs using Java, Maven and Spring Boot
  • Design scalable and extensible relational and NoSQL databases
  • Research new technologies, identify and learn best practice, adapt quickly and provide technical guidance to other team members.
  • Work with multiple globally distributed teams to deliver end-to-end solution across regions.
  • Present and demo to users, stakeholders, and technology groups.
  • Promote excellent user experience and system performance.


Required Qualifications:

  • Relevant university degree, specialized training or equivalent work experience
  • 7+ years of application development experience.
  • 6+ years with strong core Java/J2EE server side hands on development experience including concurrency, JMS & JPA
  • 5+ years of experience with JS frameworks/libraries (e.g. ReactJS, AngularJS), JavaScript, HTML 5, CSS etc.
  • Excellent knowledge of Java technologies including core Java, Spring (Sprint Boot) and application containers.
  • Strong computer science fundamentals such as algorithms, data structures, multithreading, object-oriented development, distributed applications, client-server architecture.
  • Experience with JDBC/JPA frameworks like Spring and Hibernate.
  • Service development experience including REST/SOAP web services and Websockets
  • Experience deploying application to the cloud using AWS, Azure or CloudFoundry.
  • Familiar with messaging frameworks like MQ and Kafka
  • Automated testing experience, TDD & BDD strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of OOP concepts, design patterns and continuous delivery principles
  • Database development skills including SQL, relational data design, stored procedures and database performance tuning
  • Knowledge of agile software development methodologies such as Scrum is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of build tools like Maven and source control like Git/SVN.
