DealerTrack Electronic Lien Title, a Cox Automotive Brand is in search of a mid-level, full stack Software Engineer to join their team. This will be a full-time employee position with a competitive base salary, bonus, and complete benefits package.
This is a hybrid/work-from-home role, as the selected candidate will be required to come into the Sacramento, CA office approx. once a week.
Software Engineers at Cox Automotive are responsible for the analysis, estimation, design, implementation, deployment, management, and daily operations of the key solutions that power the Cox Automotive Data Platform. You will be challenged with driving and implementing operational improvements through optimization of system performance, automation, and judicious use of technology that drives core data pipelines, data streaming solutions, and data management.
Responsibilities

  • Works with Product Management to understand the challenges that customers and end users face in their day-to-day work and partner with them to design viable solutions.
  • Recommends viable solutions to processes, technology, and interfaces that improve the effectiveness of the team and reduce technical debt.
  • Foresees capacity requirements for component usage and identifies limitations.
  • Provides input into story sizing, backlog grooming, and release planning.
  • Contributes to product and solution designs to address critical issues and complex problems.
  • Builds software applications across multiple platforms in response to the needs of stakeholders.
  • Understands technical architecture and writes software and automated tests that are aligned with agreed upon standards.
  • Performs trouble-shooting efforts and investigations when necessary.
  • Provides ongoing support, monitoring, and maintenance of deployed products.
  • Actively works with less experienced software engineers providing technical guidance and oversight.
  • Actively participates in the engineering community, staying up to date on new software technologies and best practices and shares insights with others in the organization.


Knowledge, Experience, and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field plus 3+ years of relevant work experience; or a Master's degree plus 2+ years of relevant work experience
  • In lieu of a degree, qualified candidates would require 7+ years of relevant professional experience
  • Working experience in coding within multiple technology stacks (e.g. Front-end: browser and device typically using common client-side technologies - HTML, CSS, JavaScript; Back-end: server, application using C#.Net, Entity Framework)
  • Working experience with relational databases like SQL Server.
  • Working experience with Agile/Scrum application development methodology
  • AWS cloud experience is desired.
