The Role:

We are transforming technology and creating a digital evolution that will empower Centene to better serve our members. As Project Lead Application Software Engineer you will be the technical, development lead for the CTA team. Your work will involve building high-quality software and leading less experienced developers in their role to do the same. CTA impacts our members and providers by being the cornerstone for matching our members to the highest-quality Care Management teams for their needs.

As Project Lead Application Software Engineer, you will:
Help lead a team of developers through technical solutioning and development of applications to meet business needs
• Responsible for the entire implementation process and drive definition of business needs• Lead cross functional teams through the entire implementation process• Responsible for overall solution design including building and testing• Conduct root cause analysis and advanced performance tuning for complex business processes and functionality• Identify, define and implement needed enhancements in the methods, standards and processes to better enable teams and constructive enterprise applications

Additionally you will bring:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of related experience.
• Experience working with Java Script, OOP/OOAD, XML, HTML, CSS, JSON.
• Experience with Mongo, Oracle or SQL Server.
• Experience with web services, messaging, and stored procedures preferred.
• Experience leading a team of software engineers.
• Experience with Health Care applications development and design is preferred.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience with Gitlab, Harness, Kubernetes/Docker, or Rancher a plus.
• Understanding of Microservices, containerization design concepts a plus.
