In this unique opportunity, you would be one of our founding members of our new Growth Engineering team. You would help us to build an inclusive, highly collaborative team with stakeholders in Marketing, Sales, Customer Support, Analytics, Product Growth, and more. Your contribution is highly visible to our top leadership, including our CEO.

The ideal candidate is proficient in modern full stack languages and frameworks (e.g. React, Node.js, Angular 10+ preferred, but not required). We're looking for engineers who have a growth mindset, love to learn, and are pumped to build features that have a direct impact on our top-level company metrics.

The Role:
- Lead the implementation of customer-facing features to optimize customer experience and help us stand out among the competition.
- Lead the implementation and optimize API endpoints, services, and workers that power all of the exciting new features on our roadmap.
- Design systems and reusable components to empower quick iteration through split testing.
- Share a customer-centric view and collaborate with multiple stakeholders to make big bets and learn from experimentation.
- Educate and level up the team in designing and building systems for maximum performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Introduce best practices to improve ClickUp 1% a day.
- Optimize ClickUp for peak performance.
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience writing and maintaining API's in a production-level environment (preferably with Node.js).
- Expert in SQL and relational databases (preferably PostgreSQL).
- Hands-on experience with TypeScript/JavaScript and one or more modern frameworks (Angular 10+ preferred, but not required).
- Hands-on experience of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as SASS.
- A strong self-starter, who likes solving problems and getting things done.
- Experience in Redux style state management (preferably NgRx), Typescript, and RxJS.
- Product sense or curiosity about product and business value.
- Strong intuition for when to hack vs build for maintainability.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
