The Role
We are looking for an exceptionally motivated Full Stack Developer with deep Node.js and React expertise to design and develop cutting-edge web and mobile eCommerce applications across our many lines of cannabis business: retail delivery/click-and-collect (B2C), wholesale B2B, and CPG brands both via retailer (B2B2C) and D2C where allowed. The role is a foundational piece of a highly visible, business facing team focused on aligning strategic objectives with tactical demands in the cannabis industry, one of the fastest growing and most innovative industries in the US.
Responsibilities

Develop and integrate client-side single page applications and server-side microservices into functional applications
Support the design and development of modern cloud-native software architectures including decoupled architectures and high-performance systems, through microservice models including headless CMS and eCommerce applications
Leverage cloud native serverless technology such as AWS Lambda and AWS Aurora to drive innovation and increase speed to market in the software development life cycle
Write, maintain and improve testing processes to ensure high quality, reliable and maintainable code

Work collaboratively with business owners and other engineering team members to define requirements, dependencies and challenges

Qualifications / Preferred Skills

2-3 years of progressive professional development in Node.js and React
Cloud platform exposure such as AWS, Azure or GCP, and underlying platform services
Understanding of unit, functional and integration tests with the use of testing frameworks (Jest / Selenium)
Experience with relational and non-relational databases such as PostgreSQL and DynamoDB
Modern web application architecture and frameworks, including REST and GraphQL APIs

Additional Requirements

Must pass any and all required background checks
Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry
Must possess valid driver's license
Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
Must be approved by state badging agency to work in cannabis industry

What kinds of technical challenges do you and your team face?

We operate across multiple states nationwide, so the biggest technical challenge can be the lack of clarity on what can and cannot be done. Each state requires different technological, both hardware and software, needs. This requires complete flexibility and communication between all parties involved.
