Job Summary:
  • Under limited supervision, designs, codes, tests and deploys software in all layers of the development life cycle.
  • Provides the necessary documentation.
  • Works with databases, APIs, servers, networks and various programming languages.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Under limited supervision, analyze and develop system requirements, program specifications, design, and code/unit test to meet business requirements/specifications for large projects.
  • Develop or contribute to deliverables for additional levels of testing and support test execution including system level and Integration tests.
  • Resolve production problems of medium to high complexity.
  • Becoming a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on the business rules of the application and be able to develop design documents in support of new corporate initiatives.
  • Performing production support duties, support of all levels of test execution and ability to diagnose system issues.
  • Communicate to all levels of management and work as a member of a team.
  • The incumbents of this position are expected to perform all other related duties as assigned.

Job Specific Information:
This position is to support the Revenue Edits and Rating Organization. This position requires the design and development of Revenue Systems applications in Java.
Skills/Knowledge/Experience Considered a Plus:
  • Demonstrated development / support experience with two or more development languages for client-server and Web applications using Java and J2EE technologies, including: Spring Framework, Hibernate/JPA implementation, Junit Test Framework, JMS Messaging, Linux OS scripting, Java 8, Python, Gradle, REST Architecture, Angulare 9+, Git, and Oracle/SQL Developer
  • Understanding of SAFe Methodology
  • Excellent analytical/problem solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interest in remaining current with industry trends and emerging technologies

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in computer science, engineering, information systems or related field and/or equivalent formal training or work experience. Requires three (3) years qualifying work experience in information technology or engineering environment. A related advanced degree may offset the related experience requirements.
Domicile: This position can be domiciled anywhere within the United States.
Remote Work: The ability to work remotely within the United States may be available based on business need.
Relocation: Relocation assistance may be available based on business need.
