Job Description

Arista is looking for experienced frontend developers to help build an enterprise Edge Threat dashboard, a modern web application that makes monitoring and managing Arista security solutions simple, yet powerful.

The Edge Threat dashboard frontend is built on a modern VueJS codebase. As front-end developers, we love discussing how to efficiently manage large amounts of state, prototyping new data visualizations, and building experiences that “just work.”

As an organization, we believe in well-tested code and modular, reusable components. We would rather take a little longer to do something once in the right way than cram in a change to meet a deadline. We think that software is best built when engineers can own products end-to-end, from conception to shipping. And we know that some of the best ideas come from giving developers space to innovate and pursue their own ideas. 

To help us deliver an ever evolving product, we are looking for individuals with a strong sense of initiative who are excited to learn new concepts and technologies. Our ideal candidate is someone who can envision how a feature should work, define the best way to build it, and then pursue the small touches that make the finished product feel magical. We will rely on you to stay abreast of new trends in the industry, and use your judgement about which new technologies are worth adopting. Finally, as a senior member of Arista’s team we will expect you to mentor and grow new team members. 

Qualifications

Job Requirements

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science or a relevant experience subject.
• 4+ years software engineering experience
• Experience with modern Javascript development environments, ideally VueJS
• Knowledge of one of network monitoring, network protocols, data visualization, or architecting large single page applications.
• Skilled at communicating product direction and team objectives
