At Rapid Robotics, we are transforming the manufacturing industry. Our mission is to make automation affordable and accessible. We are building robotic solutions for manufacturers that help drive innovation and change the work performed on factory floors. Our team developed the Rapid Machine Operator, a solution that can perform simple tasks in a matter of days rather than weeks and at a fraction of the cost of other automation solutions.

About the Role

As a Frontend Software Engineer, you will be responsible for creating professional solutions to complex technical problems. You will build complex user interfaces from the ground up using the latest frontend technologies, translate business requirements into technical requirements, and develop new user-facing features. As part of your work, you will sometimes be asked to write technical documentation to present your proposed solutions and alternatives to them.

At Rapid, we are building a highly complex UI with React and TypeScript. We are a small, agile team building our software according to best practices, and are looking for engineers who are passionate about building maintainable, reliable software. As part of our team, you’ll have the opportunity to interact with experts in many fields, including distributed systems, robotics, computer vision, and mechanical engineering. The Skills You Bring

  • 2+ years experience with React, or equivalent abilities
  • Experience with statically typed languages such as TypeScript
  • Experience with common frontend development tools: Babel, Webpack, NPM, MUI, Styled Components, Storybook, etc.
  • Experience unit testing with tools like Jest and Testing Library
  • Experience integration testing with tools like Cypress
  • Good written communication skills in English

Nice to Have

  • Contributions to open source projects
  • Experience with Linux, Docker
