The Frontend Platform team is responsible for setting and driving the vision of all the user interface components, developing foundational features in the product, and being user interface advocates inside the company. Engineers in this role work on large-scale product development with focus on the best possible user experience, high quality code, optimal performance and enterprise-grade security. We work closely with product managers, designers, backend engineers, and QA team to provide a world-class software platform powering ClickUp.

We are looking for incredible frontend engineers with experience building advanced Angular applications, are masters of TypeScript, and have a strong understanding of the importance of state management and the ability to implement and maintain that efficiently. Frontend Engineers on our Platform team understand the challenge of building the best possible interfaces for our users, while continuously improving application performance, and thriving for the ultimate reusability of components.
The Role:
- Build clean, powerful and highly performant user interface components.
- Write clean, maintainable and reusable code that adheres to code standards.
- Write functional and unit tests to ensure the quality of products.
- Collaborate with other engineers to implement customer-facing features in Angular.
- Work with product managers, designers and backend engineers to define feature requirements, scope and business impact.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on best practices.
- Continuously explore and research solutions on how to improve our Frontend Platform.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years experience developing large-scale frontend applications.
- Professional experience with Angular 7+ and TypeScript.
- Expert with vanilla JavaScript, HTML and CSS. Mastery of advanced SASS/SCSS.
- Strong team player with excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- You are a lifetime student at heart and never stop learning.
Preferred Qualifications and Bonus Points:
- Experience with WebSockets is a strong plus.
- Experience implementing Redux-style state management at scale (NgRx preferred).
- Experience building large-scale SaaS frontend platforms supporting millions of users.
- Familiarity with modern development patterns, such as Micro Frontend Architecture.
